West Lake Park
Trip report: December 2017
Located between Hollywood and Dania Beach, FL, this large urban park includes about 3 miles of mangrove preserve adjacent to the Intracoastal Waterway. Three paddling trails totaling 3 miles have been marked out through the mangrove. No motorized boats are allowed. A variety of paddle craft rentals are available. Small park fee applies (Map and photos below.)

This popular park includes the Anne Kolb Nature Center, plus biking and walking trail, picnicking, ball courts, playground and splash pad, dock and fishing platform on Tarpon Lake. Parking is free during the week.
